Our Service Areas
Student Services
We assess and administer NHS Bursaries, Social Work Bursaries and the Learning Support Fund to students studying healthcare, medical, dental and social work courses.
NHS Jobs
We support 7,000 organisations and 14 million job seekers to use our NHS Jobs service, to help get the right people, into the right role at the right time across the whole NHS. Our specialist teams work together to support the service, from stakeholder engagement to performance analysis and more. We collaborate to create a transformed, future-proof service.
HR Shared Services (HRSS)
We provide our clients with a range of critical HR services, from recruitment, to employee records management, to learning solutions and more. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and always putting clients first.
Electronic Staff Record (ESR)
We deliver ESR for use by the wider NHS. We offer the exclusive provision of an integrated hire to retire workforce management solution. We support organisations to reduce costs, improve workforce planning and allow NHS employees to take ownership of their personal information.
NHS Pensions
We centrally administer the NHS Pension Scheme, which has over 1.6 million actively contributing members, over 700,000 deferred members and over 960,000 recipients each month. We work with over 10,000 scheme employers and manage payments and contributions totalling £12.1 billion per year.
One of the best things about working here is the diversity I have in my work. My days are always full of variety and I’m constantly expanding my knowledge working within my own team, other internal areas and external services, visiting employers, meeting members at conferences and hosting online training events. My journey with the NHSBSA has provided me with excellent training to develop my skills to effectively deliver and support our services and customers.
