Finance, Commercial and Estates
Finance, Commercial and Estates play a vital part in our smooth running. Managing over £39 billion of NHS spend every year, it is essential that we are accountable for that money and our processes are as efficient as possible. NHS Workforce Services
Our platforms and services enable the career pathways of colleagues across health and care, helping the NHS to support its people. In this area, we oversee the smooth delivery of NHS Jobs, Electronic Staff Record (ESR), Student Services, HR Shared Services and the NHS Pension Scheme.

NHS Workforce Transformation
We’re heading up an NHS-led transformation programme to identify and deliver the future NHS workforce solution. The solution will build on the success of the current Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system to support effective recruitment, retention and workforce planning, and provide workforce services that support the delivery of the NHS People Plan and other workforce policies.

Primary Care Services
We are privileged to play a key role in supporting primary care in the NHS and we provide a broad range of services to support our primary care providers. Daily, we work with pharmacy, dentistry, ophthalmic and GP providers to support the delivery of their critical services.
We manage the processes of all NHS prescriptions in England that are dispensed in primary care. We handle 44 million dental claims each year and make payments of £2.2 billion to NHS primary care dentists in England and Wales. People and Corporate Services
Consisting of Human Resources, Organisational Development, Communications and Marketing, Diversity, Wellbeing and Inclusion, Information Governance and Security, Safety, Health and Environment, our People and Corporate Services teams deliver support and leadership to the organisation. Keeping our people, our data, our services and our reputation safe, compliant and operational.

Strategy, Planning, Business Development and Growth
We drive and shift thinking to support the transformation of the health and care system. We work across the organisation enabling and supporting delivery, ensuring all our employees are best placed to meet the challenges and opportunities presented as part of the NHS Long Term Plan and Secretary of State priorities. As well as delivering business as usual, we will support the business to implement the overall strategy and achieve our big ambitions. Portfolio and Prioritisation
We support the delivery of our Portfolio of Change. The Portfolio Change Plan includes strategic and transformational projects and programmes, designed to realise our strategic goals and big ambitions. It also includes change to be delivered for our external commissioners to support Government and the Health and Care sector ambitions and commitments.

Citizen Services
We support members of the public to gain access to healthcare and help with health costs as well as other helper services to which they are entitled. These are delivered as a range of national services on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) grouped into three categories: Exemption Services, Health and Community Services and Overseas Healthcare Services.
